Medical emergency
For actual or impending medical emergencies, call 911. After the emergency is under control, make an appointment through the patient hub or by calling the office so Dr. Kohl can follow up.
Examples include chest pain, trouble breathing, the worst headache of your life, a bone sticking out of the body, or the equivalent.
Urgent sickness or injury today
If you have an urgent but not life-threatening problem during business hours, schedule a same-day appointment through the patient hub or call the office.
When you cannot come to the office, consider a same-day telemedicine appointment.
After-hours urgent problem
For urgent but not life-threatening illness outside office hours, members may call Dr. Kohl's direct member cell. Leave a voicemail or text message if there is no immediate answer.
Examples include high fever, uncontrolled vomiting, acute injury without severe bleeding, migraine not improving with treatment, or UTI symptoms causing severe distress.
Non-urgent questions and refills
Make an appointment through the patient hub or by calling the office. Most new concerns require an office or telemedicine appointment.
If you need help coordinating care with specialists or services outside the practice, please make an appointment.
Members may text Dr. Kohl's direct member cell for a follow-up question from an appointment or a general health question, and he will respond by the next business day.
If a pharmacy cannot refill your medication, text Dr. Kohl's direct member cell and he will respond during regular business hours.
